Having a rounding rule in place is useful for calculating employee time entries to have a more explicit representation and most payroll software accepts such rounded numbers better.
There are options and can be set against pay group or company hierarchy:
3/6 – Every 6 minutes as a block. 3 minutes as the mid-point. E.g. employee clocks in at 8:04 rounded as 8:06; clocks out at 17:21 rounded as 17:18.
7/15 – Every 15 minutes as a block. 7 minutes as the mid-point. E.g. employee clocks in at 8:08 rounded as 8:15; clocks out at 17: 22 rounded as 17:15.
5/15 – Every 15 minutes as a block. 5 minutes as the mid-point. E.g. employee clocks in at 8:06 rounded as 8:15; clocks out at 17: 20 rounded as 17:15.
10/15 – Every 15 minutes as a block. 10 minutes as the mid-point. E.g. employee clocks in at 8:11 rounded as 8:15; clocks out at 17: 25 rounded as 17:15.
Generally, these are set when you have your CB Systems configured, however, you can change these at any point of time if your business requirement has changed.
